전시 《문-멍 Focal Portal》은 사진 촬영과 영상 제작이라는 현실의 업을 수행하며 자신만의 예술적 실천을 이어가는 두 작가의 시선에서 출발한다. 노이즈와 정보의 오류 등 채택되지 못하는 주변부를 실험해 온 고정균과 우리가 쉽게 지나치는, 들리지 않는 지점을 포착해 기술적 경험으로 풀어내는 양은경은 ‘포털(Portal)’을 단순한 기술적 매개체나 통로가 아닌, 각자의 시선이 스치고 부딪히며 궤적과 흔적을 드러내는 렌즈이자 창으로 설정한다. <중간지점 빌려드립니다!>를 통해 작업 공간인 ‘중간지점’에서 고민과 대화를 이어온 두 작가는, 다시 전시 공간이 된 중간지점에서 포털을 매개로 만난다. 실시간 스트리밍과 웹사이트 교차 송출 과정에서 발생하는 전송 지연과 오차를 기술적 결함이 아닌 ‘초점(Focal point)’으로 재해석한다. 딜레이와 중첩이 만들어낸 화면은 느린 응시를 유도하며, 기술의 이면에 남아 있는 존재의 감각을 드러낸다. Focal Portal begins with the perspectives of two artists who continue their own artistic practices while carrying out their professional work in photography and video production. Goh Jeongkyun, who has explored peripheral elements excluded from selection, such as noise and errors in information, and Yang Eunkyung, who captures overlooked and unheard points and translates them into technological experiences, approach the concept of ‘Portal’ not as a simple technical medium or passageway, but as a lens and window where individual perspectives intersect, collide, and reveal their trajectories and traces. Through the program Jungganjijeom In-Between Residency, the two artists continued their explorations and conversations within ‘Jungganjijeom’ as a working space, and now meet again through the portal at Jungganjijeom, which has once again become an exhibition space. The delays and errors that occur during processes such as real-time streaming and cross-broadcasting between websites are reinterpreted not as technical flaws, but as ‘Focal point.’ The images created through delay and overlap invite a slow gaze, revealing the sense of presence that remains beneath technology.
